2020 - 2021 Concert Season: Vanguard Virtual Voices
Vanguard Voices was not able to hold regular rehearsals or performances during the 2020-2021 season, but director Kevin Dewey was able to offer some opportunities for Vanguard members to keep singing.

Presented by the City of Dearborn, the Michael A. Guido Theater at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, and the Dearborn Community Fund.

Vanguard Virtual Voices Mini-Session
Members of Vanguard Virtual Voices used practice recordings and Zoom rehearsals to learn the choral parts for these two pieces. Singers and instrumentalists submitted individual recordings which were combined into a full performance.
How Can I Keep from Singing?
This familiar song, written by Rev. Robert Lowry in 1869, was arranged by Adam and Matt Podd for virtual chorus and orchestra at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mourning and the Mourning Doves
This Vanguard Premieres commission was composed in April 2020 by Michigan composer Anthony Joseph Lai. It provided an initial point of contact for Vanguard Voices members during a series of online rehearsals.
