2008 - 2009 Concert Season: From Concept to Concert
Bringing choral music to full realization – from concept to concert – has been the mission of Vanguard Voices in recent seasons. Since the inception of the Vanguard Premieres Choral Composition Contest in 2003, Vanguard Voices and other choirs also under the direction of Artistic Director G. Kevin Dewey have brought 23 choral compositions to appreciative audiences for the first time. This season, Vanguard Voices will premiere six compositions – two award winners as well as four honorable mention pieces.
