Vanguard Voices is proud to sponsor Vanguard Premieres, an initiative to promote the creation of new choral works by established and aspiring composers. Introduced in 2003, the program is a combination of commissions, composition contests, and world premiere performances of each new work.

New Vanguard Premieres Comission

The latest commission in the Vanguard Premieres program is Requiem Brevis by Michigan composer Stuart Scott. The work, which features eight a cappella choirs, was written specifically for performance in the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church, Dearborn, Michigan.

Requiem Brevis will be premiered by Vanguard Voices on Sunday, April 27, 2014, 4 p.m.
