Vanguard Voices actively seeks new members in all voice sections.
Open rehearsals for all interested singers are held
in early September and early January of each concert season. You are welcome
to join us on those occasions to meet our artistic director and our members,
sing along with us and learn about our concert season.
We seek singers who appreciate choral music across several
genres and styles and who have a passion for performance excellence. Although
sight-reading ability is not a requirement, it is expected that all Vanguard
Voices members will learn their music and come prepared for each weekly rehearsal.
Rhythm and pitch precision and the ability to sing with a clear, straight
tone are requirements.
Those singers who wish to pursue membership in Vanguard Voices
can schedule an appointment for an audition after the open rehearsal. Auditions
are held with the artistic director. New members typically join the group
in September and January of each year.
